Manheim Township Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 5423 says they were dispatched to the high school early Monday evening while battling a house fire.

Fire officials say there was fire showing upon arrival at the school. According to our media partner LNP, flames and smoke could be seen coming from the woodshop’s sawdust collection system and all students were safely evacuated.

Extensive ventilation was required of the school building, which fire officials say prompted the virtual learning days.
