Manhattan cookie business gears up for holiday weekend

MANHATTAN (KSNT)- As Memorial Day weekend nears, businesses are working hard to sweeten up the celebration.

Eileen’s Colossal Cookies in Manhattan specializes in holiday cookies, and Memorial Day is no exception. The cookies are themed to the occasion, with designs including stars, stripes, grills and hot dogs.

Jared Goedert the owner of Eileen’s Colossal Cookies in Manhattan told 27 News the shop wants to serve people during this holiday weekend.

KS National Guard to attend Memorial Day events across the state

“Memorial Day [is] a great time. Obviously, it’s a time that people maybe relax and/or celebrate, and we think that we want to acknowledge that and do our small part as a cookie shop,” said.

After this weekend, the store’s next cookie holiday is Father’s Day.
