Man shot in southeast Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man in his 20s was shot early Monday morning in southeast Fresno, according to the Fresno Police Department.

According to police, officers received a “ShotSpotter” alert around 4 a.m. near Chestnut and Orleans avenue.

Investigators say the victim a man in his 20s, was found in a neighborhood near Playa and Burns avenues.

The man was taken to a local hospital. There’s no word yet on his condition.

Officers say a possible suspect has been detained.
