Man shot multiple times in Brooklyn NYCHA complex was returning home from Sweet 16: police

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man was robbed and shot multiple times inside an NYCHA building as he was returning home from a Sweet 16 Sunday morning, police said.

Police responded to a 911 call for a male shot at the Williamsburg Houses at 1:40 a.m. When they arrived, they found 41-year-old Jamall Coleson was shot twice to his face. Coleson was also shot in the stomach, left knee, right thigh, and back. He was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, police said.

According to investigators, Coleson, the victim, a resident of the building, was grabbing clothes for his young daughter.

Coleson, a well-known ticket broker in the neighborhood who sells discounted tickets for events at the Barclays Center, was approached by an unidentified male who then attacked him. The shooter allegedly told the victim, ‘Give me all you got.’ He then shot the victim and fled in a black SUV, police said.

It is unknown if the shooter sought out Coleson for his discounted ticket prices at Barclays Center.

Coleson is expected to survive his injuries, police said.
