Man accused of shooting himself, filing false report in Georgetown County

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Georgetown County deputies are searching for a man who shot himself in the leg and allegedly filed a false report, the sheriff’s office said Wednesday.

Charles Lowrimore, 27, came to Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital at about 3:30 a.m. with a gunshot wound in his leg, according to the sheriff’s office. He told deputies that he was shot while walking to a friend’s house near the Parsons Garden area.

Investigators determined Lowrimore accidentally shot himself and filed a false report. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 843-546-5102.
