Man severely injured after shooting on Lamar Avenue

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A shooting on Lamar Avenue left a man in critical condition Wednesday afternoon, Memphis Police say.

According to reports, officers responded to the shooting in the 3000 block of Lamar Avenue around 1:30 p.m. A man was located on the scene and transported to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.

MPD says the suspect is a man with tattoos on his chest and arms. The victim and suspect were allegedly involved in a physical altercation before the shooting.
