Man known for taunting CMPD in own video, twin brother arrested from warrants in Iredell County

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Cornelius man known for taunting police and his twin brother were arrested on drug charges in Iredell County Tuesday.

According to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, Warrant Squad deputies were alerted that Carlos and Christopher Clark, both 21, were traveling through the area. Carlos Clark reportedly had felony warrants for his arrest from fleeing law enforcement charge in both Union and Mecklenburg counties.

Iredell deputies say they intercepted the Clarks’ vehicle and identified both Carlos and Christoper inside. The deputies performed a felony traffic stop on River Highway in Mooresville.

A K-9 squad was called to the scene, and a search allegedly gave a positive indication to the odor of narcotics coming from the vehicle. Deputies say they located 371 grams of marijuana, 323 grams of psychedelic mushrooms, and cash.

Both brothers were placed under arrest and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center. They were issued no bond due to being out on previous release orders.

Carlos Clark was arrested by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police twice in the last two months. On March 28 he was booked on a slew of driving and drug-related charges. He posted a video to his Instagram account showing him fleeing a traffic stop and intentionally hitting a CMPD vehicle in the process.

The in April he was arrested again from charges related to reportedly feeling police in January and reaching speeds of 90 mph through southeast Charlotte in a 35 mph zone.

Carlos Clark 

  • Three Counts of Felony Fleeing to Elude Arrest,

  • Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, Deliver Schedule I Substance,

  • Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, Deliver Schedule VI Substance,

  • Reckless Driving to Endanger,

  • Speeding in a Work Zone.

Christopher Clark

  • Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, Deliver Schedule I Substance

  • Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance

  • Felony Maintaining a Vehicle or Dwelling for a Controlled Substance
