Man killed in skydiving accident at Skydive DeLand

One person was killed Monday following what appears to have been a skydiving accident, according to a release issued by the DeLand Police Department.

The accident took place at Skydive DeLand, located at the DeLand Municipal Airport.

Officers responded to the airport at 2:26 p.m. Monday after a male skydiver suffered a hard landing, the release stated. The man, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead on the scene.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Spotify has announced it's hiking subscriptions for customers in the U.S., the second such price increase in the space of a year.
