Man killed in a hit and run in Waterbury early Saturday
A man was struck and killed by a car in Waterbury early Saturday morning, according to police.
Dwayne Hunter, 46, of Waterbury, was killed during a hit and run in the area of 62 Chase Ave. around 2:12 a.m. Saturday. Officers arrived to the scene on a report of a hit and run involving a pedestrian. When officers arrived, they saw Hunter had been struck in the roadway. The vehicle involved had fled the scene.
The man was transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
