Man killed after ambulance hits motorcycle in Lawrence County, ALEA says

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — A man was killed after his motorcycle was hit by an ambulance Saturday night in Lawrence County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

The crash occurred around 9:25 p.m. Saturday on Alabama 157 near Lawrence County 243, about 2 miles north of Moulton.

ALEA said Sidney L. Canada II, 33, of Blountsville was killed when the motorcycle he was on was hit by an ambulance. Canada was pronounced dead at the scene.

The ambulance driver and the patient on board were both transported to Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield for injuries, authorities added.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate and say no further information is available at this time.
