Man injured after rollover crash on Lakeside Drive in Lynchburg

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Police in Lynchburg said a man was taken to the hospital after a rollover crash on Lakeside Drive on May 23.

The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) told WFXR that the department’s Traffic Unit was called to Lakeside Drive and Murrell Road for a single-vehicle crash with a driver ejected.

Upon arrival, first responders found a man near the vehicle with minor injuries.

Medics with the Lynchburg Fire Department took the man to the hospital for treatment.

As the investigation continued, police determined speed was a factor in the crash.

LPD says the man was charged with Reckless driving and Failing to wear a seat belt.
