Man initiates police chase from Fauquier County into Prince William County, crashes

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Virginia State Police (VSP) said a man who refused to stop for police initiated a chase from Fauquier to Prince William County on Sunday afternoon.

At about 1 p.m., a VSP trooper tried stopping a Toyota Sienna that was traveling on I-66 in Fauquier County for not having a state inspection.

The driver refused to stop and a pursuit started.

The driver continued on I-66 into Prince William County where he crashed.

He was taken into custody and treated at a hospital for minor injuries.

A woman who was also in the car was taken to the hospital for minor injuries as well.
