Man hurt in early Friday shooting in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — One man was hurt in a shooting early Friday morning, according to the Grand Rapids Police Department.

Around 3:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting on Griggs Street SE and Horton Avenue SE. A man was found with a gunshot would that was not considered life-threatening, police say.

The suspect was brought into custody.

There is no word on what led up to the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.
