Man hospitalized after being pulled from water behind Clearwater condo building

CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — A man has been hospitalized after he was pulled from the water behind a condo building in Clearwater late Tuesday afternoon.

Clearwater Fire Rescue crews and Clearwater police were called to the Continental Towers at 675 S. Gulfview Boulevard around 3:49 p.m. after bystanders pulled the swimmer from the water.

The man was treated at the scene and taken to Morton Plant Hospital with “potential life-threatening injuries.”
