Man found shot to death in vacant lot in South Shore

CHICAGO — Chicago police are investigating after a 28-year-old man was found shot to death in a vacant lot Monday morning in South Shore.

The man was found around 9:45 a.m. in the 7000 block of South Stony Island.

According to Chicago police, he had a gunshot wound to the lower extremities.

His identity hasn’t been released yet by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The incident is still under investigation by Area One detectives.
