Man dies after concrete slab falls on him in Bluffdale

BLUFFDALE, Utah (ABC4) — A man died Thursday after a cement slab fell on him at a concrete manufacturing business in Bluffdale.

Bluffdale Fire Chief Matt Evan told ABC4.com that crews responded at about 12:45 p.m. to Olympus Precast, located on Pony Express Road, for what appeared to be an industrial accident.

First-responders found the man dead at the scene. Witnesses told them that a cement slab fell on top of him, crushing him underneath.

The man’s identity has not been released, and it’s yet unclear what caused the slabs to fall.
