Man dead after shooting in Baton Rouge, police investigate

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that happened Thursday, May 23.

Police said officers responded to the 11000 block of North Harrell’s Ferry Road around 9:51 p.m. and found Dauntre Alvis, 26, shot in his car. He was taken to the hospital but died from his injuries, according to the police.
