Man dies after overnight shooting in Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH — A man died after a shooting in Portsmouth on Saturday.

Police found Modrelle Britt, 33, with a gunshot wound after responding to a call in the 20 block of Dale Drive around 1:19 a.m. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Detectives are investigating the homicide, and ask anyone with information to call the Portsmouth Police Investigations Bureau at 757–393–8536.
