Man in critical condition after Commerce City shooting

DENVER (KDVR) — A man was critically injured in an early morning shooting in Commerce City.

According to the Commerce City Police Department, officers were called to a shooting in the area of East 72nd Avenue and Magnolia Street on Friday at about 2 a.m.

Officers said a man was shot and taken to a local hospital in critical condition. Two guns were recovered at the scene and detectives are working to identify a suspect or suspects.

Police believe the man was shot at that location.

At this time, there are no suspects in custody and police are still at the scene investigating.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Commerce City Police Department or the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a cash reward.
