Man charged in Overland Park stabbing

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A day after police responded to a stabbing that left a man critically hurt in Overland Park, the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office filed charges against a suspect.

The office confirmed to FOX4 that Kevin James Donovan, 46, is charged with aggravated battery. He was arrested on Monday at 91st and Robinson, a short distance away from the crime scene on West 89th Street in the Glenwood Estates neighborhood.

The last update from Overland Park police is that the victim’s condition has been upgraded from critical to serious condition.

Donovan has a first court appearance scheduled for 1:30 on Tuesday afternoon and is held on a $250,000 bond. FOX4 has requested court documents that contain more complete details about the investigation.
