Man arrested after Kings Mountain drug bust: Police

KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man has been arrested after guns, a large amount of drugs and cash were found in his apartment, according to the Kings Mountain Police Department (KMPD).

On March 20, authorities say they served a search warrant at an apartment off Wells Street in Kings Mountain. In the home, the following was found:

  • 461.1 grams (3,735 units) of fentanyl pills

  • 23.7 grams of cocaine

  • 8.6 grams (19 units) of oxycontin

  • 119 grams of Marijuana

  • Five firearms, including an AR pistol

Jaylen Rakeem Woods, 40, who lives at the home, was arrested and charged with Trafficking Opium or Heroin.

Officials say the search warrants were issued as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

The KMPD Criminal Investigations Unit (CIU), Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security all were part of the operation.
