Man accused of stealing $1,500 worth of sex toys

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – An Overland man is accused of stealing sex toys from an adult shop and later attempting to sell the devices on Facebook Marketplace.

According to the Berkeley Police Department’s probable statement, the theft happened on March 6 at the Hustler Hollywood store.

Police claim Christopher Booth (age not provided) removed eight vibrators from their displays, put them in a white trash bag, and ran from the store without paying for them.

Store management said the vibrators were worth approximately $1,539.20.

Police claim Booth was in the store the day prior, arguing with an employee before being told to leave. Employees identified Booth by having “314” tattooed on his neck.

Investigators claim to have discovered the sex toys for sale on Facebook Marketplace under Booth’s profile.

Booth was later questioned by police. He denied taking the vibrators. He said he could not have stolen the items and attempted to sell them because he didn’t have a Facebook account.

Booth is due to appear in St. Louis County Circuit Court on May 16.
