Man, 25, wounded inside his residence overnight by gunfire outside

A 25-year-old man was wounded in his residence when gunfire from outside veered through a bedroom window striking him to the thigh, Chicago police said.

Shortly after 2:15 a.m., the man was inside his residence in the 7300 block of South Vincennes Avenue when shots were fired outside, and one of the bullets traveled through a bedroom window hitting him in the right thigh, police said.

He was taken in good condition to UChicago Medicine.

No one was in custody and police were investigating.
