Mac Miller’s friend says Ariana Grande “could not have been more supportive of him being sober”
Mac Miller tragically passed away on Friday night. The 26-year-old rapper was found at his home in the San Fernando Valley, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Soon after the news broke of Mac’s passing, his ex-girlfriend, Ariana Grande, was forced to disable the comments on her Instagram as trolls were blaming her for his death.
Mac’s close friend, radio show host Shane Powers, has now revealed that Ariana was nothing but supportive of him getting sober during their two-year relationship, which ended in May this year.
“They were very much in love and I have to say, she was incredible when he was first sobering up. She was a fucking G to him.
“There could not have been anybody more supportive of him being sober than Ariana. I saw that, I was around it. I took phone calls from her. ‘How do I help’, ‘What do I do?’ This little girl was unbelievably involved and helpful to him being healthy. Because whether he was an addict of not, the way that Mac partied was not healthy. I gotta tell you, man, there was no one in his life more ready to go to the wall for him when it came to him being sober.”
He added: “She was an unbelievably stabilising force in his life.”
A few days ago, Shane also tweeted that people need to leave the ‘God Is A Woman’ singer alone.
Ariana Grande didn’t kill Mac. Mac killed Mac. Leave her alone. He’d be furious with ANYONE who made any shitty comment to her.
I’d fuckin know.

Ariana is yet to comment on Mac’s death, but she has posted a photo of him on her Instagram. The poignant photo has no caption.
