‘I’m going to make your mother cry’: Man charged in Frayser shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An arrest has been made following a shooting in Frayser that leaves one man fighting for his life.

Memphis Police identified Davian Walker, 37, as the person who shot another man along Boone Street Wednesday. He was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and given a bond of $75,000.

According to the affidavit, officers arrived at the scene around 12:30 a.m. One victim told police her boyfriend and Walker got into an argument that later turned physical.

She says while she and her boyfriend were in the driveway, Walker walked up to the man and told him, “I’m going to make your mother cry.”

That’s when Walker allegedly pulled out a gun and started shooting at the victims.

Both the male victim and Walker exchanged gunfire, resulting in the victim getting shot in his leg. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The victim’s girlfriend later identified Walker as the person who allegedly fired shots.
