Police arrest suspect in Lynchburg Vape and Tobacco store shooting
UPDATE: 5/26 LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR)– Lynchburg Police reports 23-year-old Savon Lavay was arrested on Sunday without incident.

UPDATE: 7:06 P.M. (WFXR) — Lynchburg Police say they’re searching for 23-year-old Savon Lavay Ellis for shooting a teenager at a Tobacco and Vape store Saturday.
LPD says the shooting happened at LB Tobacco and Vape Shop at 3207B Forest Brook Road just before 3 p.m. The 18-year-old victim was reportedly taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries before police arrived at the scene.

Police believe the suspect and victim knew each other and were in an argument before the shooting. They’re searching for Ellis who is wanted on the following charges:
Malicious Wounding
Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony
Reckless Handling of a Firearm
Discharge a Firearm in the City
Shooting in a Public Place Causing Injury
Possession of a Concealed Weapon
Police believe this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.
Anyone with information about Ellis’s whereabouts or the shooting is asked to contact LPD.
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR)– The Lynchburg Police Department reports they are investigating a shooting inside a tobacco and vape store in the area of Old Forest Road on Saturday, May 25.
Although details remain limited, LPD says the victim is currently being treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
