Luzerne County man arrested for alleged murder in Georgia

EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force reports they arrested a Luzerne County man wanted for a Georgia murder.

According to U.S. Marshals Service, 29-year-old Leyven Stallings, of Plains Township, was wanted by the Bibb County, Georgia, Sheriff’s Office on murder stemming from a shooting incident that happened on May 16, 2023, in Macon, Georgia.

The U.S. Marshals Service was asked to help and around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, members of the task force arrested Stallings at a hotel on PA-315 in Plains Township.

Stallings was arraigned in Luzerne County, denied bail, and taken to Luzerne County Correctional Facility, to wait for extradition to Georgia.
