Luzerne County hit and run, police chase ends in arrest

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police arrested a man for an alleged hit-and-run crash that led to a foot chase.

According to the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department, on April 28 around 4:50 a.m., officers were called to the 400 block of Madison Street for a hit-and-run crash.

Officers said they were able to locate the fleeing car and tried to pull over the driver, later identified as Tyquan Cole, 32, of New York. Cole stopped the car, got out, and began to run from police on foot, investigators stated.

Cole was eventually arrested and officers believed he was under the influence of alcohol. Charges of evading arrest, DUI, and other traffic violations were filed against Cole.
