A north Louisiana man is dead following the Sunday evening storms that hit the northwest region April 28.

Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office reported that the 69-year-old Plain Dealing man died in his home in the 10000 block of Highway 3 after his oxygen machine quit working due to a power outage.

The sheriff's office conducted an investigation but determined that there were no suspicious circumstances, and the man was under hospice care.

According to the sheriff's office, numerous weather-related calls were made Sunday evening into early Monday morning. The storm caused damage all over Bossier Parish ranging from downed trees on roads and power lines to damaged utility poles and homes.
