Longview pauses curbside recycling ahead of scheduled maintenance

LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK) – The City of Longview said curbside recycling will not be available starting on Thursday due to necessary maintenance at the recycling facility.

According to the city, Rivers Recycling, a Kilgore based recycling facility, will go through maintenance. Items placed in curbside recycling carts will be taken to the landfill along with regular trash, during the scheduled maintenance.

“If customers prefer, they may choose to hold their recycling until curbside service is restored,” Longview said.

The city has not provided a date for when the service will be restored. Trash collection, yard waste collection and bulky item pickup has not been affected and will operate normally.
