According to a release, Petco Love is investing into the center to save and improve the lives of Longview pets.

Shelter manager Chris Kemper said Petco Love’s investment confirms important work is being accomplished and they are grateful for the impact it will make for pets in the community.

“Our investment in the LACAC is part of more than $15M in investments recently announced by Petco Love to power local organizations across the country as part of our commitment to create a future in which no pet is unnecessarily euthanized,” Petco Love president Susanne Kogut said.

The nonprofit was founded in 1999 to make communities and pet families stronger and healthier, a release said. The shelter reportedly cares for more than 4,000 animals yearly.
