A locally-owned gym in Appleton will soon have a new owner, location | The Buzz
APPLETON - Reveal Fitness, a locally-owned gym, will soon have a new owner and move to a new location.
The gym, 2828 N. Richmond St., has been owned and managed by Walter Jansen for the last 10 years. It specializes in strength training and kickboxing classes, with no contracts required for members.
Jansen agreed to sell the gym to his former employee, Heidi Sunshine, who has worked at the fitness center as a trainer and manager for the past two years. Sunshine said the two are still negotiating the terms of the official sale.

"We talked about it a few months ago and as (Jansen) got older he decided he just really didn't want to run a gym anymore and wants to spend more time with his children," Sunshine said.
Reveal Fitness will be moving to a temporary location, a warehouse at 2224 W. Pershing St., the main offices for Kvalitet Homes, LLC. The gym will operate out of the warehouse starting April 29.
"Hopefully, in about two weeks after that we'll be able to move into our new permanent location," Sunshine said.
By mid-May, members can expect to work out and attend classes at the new location, 2316 W. Nordale Road.
Sunshine wants to reassure members that everything will remain the same at Reveal Fitness besides the location and ownership.
"As of now, memberships are staying the same prices and the fact that we don't do contracts is not going to change," Sunshine said. "The schedule for our strength training and kickboxing classes will stay the same."
New members can try two classes for free before signing up for a membership, which can be done in person.
