Local authorities find 19-year-old escapee detained on murder, robbery charges

BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) — The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) said they have found a 19-year-old who escaped from the Youth Services Center on Saturday.

Josef Toney, 19, was detained for two murders, armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, abandonment or abuse of a child, and tampering with evidence. He reportedly went missing this weekend. Now, authorities said he is back in custody.
