Lobo basketball player selected for college All-Star game

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – For a second consecutive year, a member of the Lobo men’s basketball team has been selected to play in the Reese’s Division I All-Star game. This year, Jaelen House will represent UNM at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ ahead of Final Four weekend.

The All-Star game features 21 seniors from across the nation. House is the only player from the Mountain West to play in this year’s game. He will play for the West team coached by San Diego’s Steve Lavin.

House was an All-Mountain West selection in each of his three seasons at UNM. He finished his career in cherry and silver with 1,561 points, 395 assists and 224 steals. House is also the NCAA active leader with 298 career steals and the first to lead the Mountain West in the category for three consecutive seasons.

House joins 2023 All-Star Morris Udeze as the only Lobos to ever play in the game. Udeze was named co-MVP last year with a 15-point, 11-rebound double-double performance.

The All-Star game will take place on Friday, April 5 at 3:30 p.m. MT on CBS Sports Network. The game is open to the public and free to attend.
