MSU Board of Trustees passes room rate increase
LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– Michigan State University Board of Trustees passed the vote to increase meal and housing rates for first-year students for the 2024-25 academic year.

Students can expect an increase of nearly 7% (6.89%) for the 2024-25 school year for incoming students.
The plan would raise housing and dining rates to $12,564 for first-year students who select the Silver Unlimited plan for the 2024-25 school year. This is an $810 increase from the 2023-24 school year first-year students who selected the silver unlimited plan of $11, 754.
Second-year students will not see an increase in residence and dining for the upcoming school year.
