Little Rock police say 7-month-old reported as missing no longer considered to be in danger

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock police say that an infant reported as missing Monday is now not considered to be in danger.

Officials with the Little Rock Police Department on Tuesday said the 7-month-old is with family members of his mother and is in no danger.

The child was initially reported as missing by his father, but department officials said there is no court documentation indicating that anyone other than the mother has custody of the infant.

Police noted that they did give the initial report to the Arkansas State Police to determine if an Amber Alert would be issued for the child.

State police said this case did not meet the criteria for an Amber Alert, though, as the child was not in any danger and this was considered more of a custodial issue.
