Once upon a time, on a rainy day in February, a two-year-old's dreams came true. She saw the princess from her favorite book walking down the street, wearing a beautiful white gown. She was star-struck, and she couldn't help but stop and stare, according to the Huffington Post.

In reality, the "princess" was newlywed Shandace Robertson. The beaming bride had just tied the knot with her husband, Scott Robertson, that day. While the couple was taking wedding day pictures in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood, they saw a little girl gazing at Shandace. The reason she was staring? She thought the bride was the princess from The Woman in White, a classic mystery novel. Surprisingly, it's the toddler's favorite book.

"I'm pretty sure she just liked the picture on the cover and became attached to it! The book is above my reading level, let alone a toddler's," the groom told the Huffington Post.

Photographer Stephanie Cristalli snapped these beautiful photos from the sweet street encounter. Scott posted them on Imgur, where there are now over 1,000 comments.

Shandace gave the toddler a flower from her bouquet, and she picked her up to give her a big hug. The little girl didn't say anything, but she was smiling from ear-to-ear the entire time. "I could tell by her face that her heart was overflowing." the bride said.
