Gold medalist Lindsey Vonn looked like 23 carats on the red carpet Tuesday night.
The skier attended Sports Illustrated’s annual Fashionable 50 party, where the most stylish people in sports are honored. Vonn was presented with the confidence award, which her outfit certainly spoke to.
In an all-white Armani suit that featured a deep V-cut and nothing underneath, the four-time World Cup alpine skiing champion looked sensual for summer. Vonn’s stylist Jeff Kim paired the look with pointy white pumps and a perfectly matched satin clutch. The athlete’s platinum hair and smokey makeup completed the icy look, and brought the heat.
The revealing outfit is something that Vonn pulls off regularly, as People’s Deputy Style Director Sharon Kanter explained. The editor, who was chosen as one of the style experts for the event, was quoted on Sports Illustrated saying just why Vonn was picked for this award.
“When it comes to style, the World Cup-winning skier prefers three things when she’s not in her snow-protective layers: Thigh-high slits, bodycon dresses and showing lots of skin — all at the same time. Her look doesn’t just say confidence: it screams it,” Kanter said.
