She’s over Sharon.

A tempestuous teen is lamenting her name as a “white soccer mom” or a “white grandma” moniker, complaining on Reddit that she “feels like my life is over bro.”

“Who names an asian kid Sharon?? Its literally not fitting at all,” the zealous Gen Zer penned in a post last week.

“People like to compare my name to karen and online I see a lot of people say stuff like Sharons and Karens are SOOO annoying,” the unidentified adolescent continued. “My parents could’ve at least made the name look nice by replacing o with i (Sharin) or even Sherrin would be better. Im literally a teenage girl with a granny name, how am I gonna live the rest of my life being named Sharon?”

Sharon was very en vogue in the US from the 1930s to the 1970s, even being the eighth most popular name for female newborns from 1943 to 1945, according to the Social Security Administration.

However, it’s fallen out of favor in recent years, falling to 923rd in 2016 and out of the top 1000 since then.

Famous Sharons include Sharon Osbourne, 71, Sharon Stone, 66, and actress Sharon Tate, who was murdered in 1969, at the age of 26, by followers of the cult leader Charles Manson.

“Law & Order” alum S. Epatha Merkerson, 71, abbreviated her given first name, Sharon, and Reddit commenters are recommending the aggrieved teen go by a different name as well.

“Idk how old you are, but you could ask your friends to call you Shaari or Shar if it bothers you that much. When you meet someone new, use the new nickname,” one person suggested. “People will always be all over the place depending on what they’ve always called you but that can’t be helped. When you start college, use the nickname or your middle name or whatever you choose from day one.”

Other people argued that Sharon isn’t that bad.

“I thought your name was going to be Mildred or Ethel or something,” one admitted. “Literally no one is cringing or noticing anything in particular when they hear your name.”

“I have never thought of Sharon as an old people name. I was expecting Clara or Myrtle or something,” another confessed.

“I thought it was going to be Bertha or Mildred or Agatha. Sharon is a beautiful and perfectly normal name,” a third declared. “I don’t think it’s a grandma name at all. I don’t get it, but you can either change it when you’re an adult or simply choose to go by something else.”
