Liebrecht's farming operation awarded grant funding

Dec. 23—PUTNAM COUNTY — U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced a renewable energy grant of $49,860 that will be awarded to Carl Liebrecht's farming operation in Putnam County. The funding was provided through the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Energy for American Program.

"We are in the midst of a clean energy boom that will create jobs and opportunities for communities across Ohio. The REAP program will help Ohio businesses be more efficient and more profitable," said Brown in a press release. "My office and I will continue working with community partners to ensure these communities continue to get the support they need."

According to a recent press release, the farm plans to install a ground mounter solar array that will 78% of the organizations energy use per year.
