RB Leipzig hope to have Dani Olmo and Xavi Simons within their ranks beyond the season, and have made Benjamin Henrichs a lucrative contract renewal offer beyond 2025, sporting director Rouven Schröder has said.

Schröder told Tuesday's edition of Kicker sports magazine that Germany full back Henrichs "knows that we want to continue with him" and that they have made him "a very appreciative offer."

But Schröder also said that "both parties have agreed not to go into a final year of the contract" if no agreement is reached, meaning that Henrichs would then leave in summer.

Olmo's future is also unclear as the Spain international has caught the eye of European top clubs. The 25-year-old has a Leipzig contract until 2027, but Schröder remained cautious.

"He hasn't just been here for six months and is just travelling through, he's been playing for us for four years now. On the other hand, it's clear that difference-makers like Dani are in demand everywhere," Schröder said.

Dutchman Simons, 20, is playing an outstanding season in Leipzig on loan from Paris Saint-Germain. Leipzig have no purchase option but still hope to keep him beyond the summer.

"He feels fundamentally at home with us. And when the time comes after the season we will intensify our fight for him," Schröder said.

Schröder admitted that "a few things will depend on in which competition we will play in the end" in Europe.

Leipzig are fifth in the Bundesliga which would earn them a Europa League berth. Borussia Dortmund are three points ahead of them in the last Champions League slot.

Schröder said that the club is well prepared for any scenario, and he vowed that "Leipzig will always have an exciting, young and hungry squad."

Leipzig have has recently renewed the contracts of several players, including Amadou Haidara, Willi Orban, Kevin Kampl, Yussuf Poulsen and Lukas Klostermann.
