Leesburg police: Man robbed while riding bike on trail

LEESBURG, Va. (DC News Now) — The Leesburg Police Department (LPD) is investigating a robbery that took place while a man was riding his bike on a trail.

LPD said the victim was riding his bike around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday on the W&OD Trail in the East Market Street area when he was confronted by five men. The men pushed him off his bike, assaulted him and took his belongings.

Four of the men were dressed in all black while the fifth one was in “some white clothing,” according to LPD.

The victim said he had minor injuries.
