For lease: Dickey's Barbecue Pit space open in Erie's Liberty Center Plaza
The writing is on the wall, as is a for-lease sign in the window at the space in the Liberty Center that until recently was the home of Dickey's Barbecue Pit.
The space at 3716 Liberty St. is offered for lease by Sherry Bauer Real Estate.

Dickey's corporate office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Previously, the barbeque chain's corporate office had said in an email that, "while the store is currently closed, we are working with a new potential owner/operator team to re-open the store very soon and continue to serve our legit Texas barbecue to the good folks of the Erie, PA community."
One of the owners of Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Erie, John Batie, said "no comment" when asked for a response to this update. Batie said he would get back to the Times-News on any future plans.
How much is the former Dickey's space currently listed for?
The space is listed on Bauer's website for approximately $6,250 a month plus the cost of utilities.
The space of the restaurant is listed at 3,400 square feet with a lease rate of $18 a square foot per year with a negotiable lease term plus NNN (triple net lease) charges and utilities.
The floor plan includes 3,412 square feet of rentable area.
The layout includes dining area, kitchen with walk-in cooler, party room, office, two handicap-accessible restrooms, and a storage area.

In the Liberty Center, the restaurant space can be found between Stumpy's Hatchet House at 3728 Liberty St. and Dollar Tree at 3708 Liberty St.
