Law Enforcement Memorial Day service returns for its fifth year

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WETM) – The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office has announced that its fifth annual Law Enforcement Memorial Day service will be taking place tomorrow in Watkins Glen.

The service will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, in front of the Michael J. Maloney Public Safety Building located at 106 10th Street in Watkins Glen to honor those from the sheriff’s office, as well as other local departments, that have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Southern Tier police agencies to receive state funding

In addition, the service will also honor retirees who have departed since last year’s service.

All members of the community are invited to join and honor those who were lost while serving.
