Last day of school for Baltimore-area systems for 2023-24 academic year

After losing days because of an early-September heat wave and a few winter storms, Baltimore-area school systems have adjusted their last day of classes for the current school year.

Here’s a look at when school ends in the region:

Harford County Public Schools moved its last day for students to June 11, with June 6-11 being inclement-weather makeup days.

Anne Arundel Public Schools’ last day for students is June 11. However, Meade High School, Old Mill Middle School South and Wiley H. Bates Middle School have a waiver to hold their last day of class for students on June 10 because of construction projects.

Baltimore County Public Schools’ last day for students is June 11 if there are no emergency closures. For each emergency closure, the last week will be extended by a day.

Carroll County Public Schools‘ last day for students is projected to be June 11, but that won’t be confirmed until Wednesday’s school board meeting, said Carey Gaddis, the school system’s communications officer.

Baltimore City Public Schools’ last day for students is June 13.

Howard County Public Schools’ last day for students is June 14 because the system used three inclement-weather days. June 12-14 are scheduled for three-hour early dismissals.
