Teen dead in central Las Vegas valley shooting, no arrest made

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) —  Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officials investigated a deadly shooting Saturday that left a teenager dead in the central Las Vegas valley.

On Saturday around 10:45 a.m., police responded to a report of a shooting in front of a home in the 2300 block of Goldhill Way near Vegas Drive and MLK Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found Jovan Wright Bullock, 16, with a gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police said Bullock was in front of his home when the suspect, identified as a male, possibly in his late teens, wearing no shirt and blue jeans, approached the victim and shot him. Police said the suspect was seen fleeing the scene south on Robin Street.

On Monday, Clark County Coroner’s Office officials identified the victim in the deadly shooting. No further information was given on the identity of the suspect in the homicide.
