The Salvation Army Week was established by President Eisenhower in 1954, nearly 100 years ago after the Salvation Army was established in London, England.

Organizer officials say this week serves as an opportunity to celebrate The Salvation Army’s volunteers, donors, and beneficiaries who help to enable the non-profit to serve there in the U.S.
