Lane restrictions expected on I-83 bridge for planned inspection

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Bridge inspection on the south John Harris Memorial Bridge carrying Interstate 83 over the Susquehanna will lead to lane and shoulder restrictions.

PennDOT says they will be working this weekend and next week on both the northbound and southbound sides of the bridge between Cumberland and Dauphin counties.

The work, using an inspection crane, will be done on Saturday, May 4, and on Monday, May 6 through Friday, May 10.

Saturday, work will be done from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., while work during the week will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
