Lancaster County man allegedly gave child whiskey, “Jamaican Me Happy” Seagrams

LITITZ, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lancaster County man was arrested for allegedly giving a minor alcohol and driving the child while drinking.

Northern Lancaster County Regional Police say they received a Childline notice involving a juvenile under the age of 13. Police say Justin Hoffman allegedly gave the child whiskey and Seagram’s Escapes Jamaican Me Happy, a malt beverage with 3.2% alcohol.

Police also alleged that Hoffman was drinking while driving with the child in the vehicle and encouraged the child to steal from a beer distributor.

Hoffman has been charged with corruption of minors, endangering the welfare of children, and furnishing liquor to a minor. He’s scheduled for a preliminary hearing on June 18.
