Lancaster County man allegedly assaults postal worker

MARIETTA, Pa. (WHTM) — A Lancaster County man was arrested after police say he assaulted a postal worker.

According to the Susquehanna Regional Police Department, officers responded to the Marietta Post Office on Monday, March 25, at around 12:56 p.m.

Police say when officers arrived, they found the victim with facial injuries appearing dazed and confused. The suspect, 27-year-old James Moore, was still on scene and arrested without incident.

Police say they believe Moore had been upset about a package not being delivered. According to police, the victim also told them that Moore jumped over the counter and punched them in the head several times, before knocking them unconscious.

Moore was arrested on scene and charged with aggravated assault. He was taken to Lancaster County Prison with bail set at $200,000.
